For Selenia the collaboration with racing teams, carried out through sport partnerships, has a function whereby it develops and constantly reviews its technical know-how. There are many objectives to this partnership, for example to develop a lubricant that allows the maximum performance from the engine, to develop a transmission oil that is able to withstand extreme high pressure which is produced in vehicle gears (up to 300cv) or to be able to use a coolant which can guarantee maximum engine protection. All of this involves constant control of the performance of the lubricant whilst the vehicle is running, for means of chemical analysis. This collaboration is useful to Selenia because of the experience gained on products used for competition use; especially as this technology can then be applied to the entire range of lubricating products used on motor vehicles. |
